Arborist Consultation and Site Visit
Urban Forestry Associates, Inc. provides consulting arborist site visits for property owners, attorneys, and others who need professional input on tree condition, management, or risk.
These consultations are intended to provide practical guidance without requiring a written report.
What to Expect
During a site visit, we evaluate tree condition, structure, and site factors, and discuss observations and recommendations directly with the client. This may include discussion of tree health, potential risks, construction impacts, or general management considerations.
In many cases, a verbal consultation is sufficient to answer questions and guide decision-making.
When a Consultation Is Appropriate
A site visit is often appropriate when a client needs an initial evaluation of a tree, guidance on next steps, or clarification of concerns without the need for formal documentation.
If a written arborist report is later required for permitting, planning, or legal purposes, it can be prepared following the site visit.
Fees
A one-hour consultation can save property owners thousands of dollars in unnecessary tree work. Because we don't prune or remove trees, we have no financial stake in the outcome, just an honest assessment of what your trees actually need.
Consultation and site visits typically begin at $240, which includes travel time and up to one hour on site.
Sites outside central Marin and southern Sonoma Counties may require additional travel time.
Written arborist reports can be prepared following the visit if needed.

Because we do not prune or remove trees, our recommendations are independent.
